Traditional View about Political Science is that is the study of State and Government. In the modern period it covers a vast area. Political Science includes the study of different forms of Governments, different constituents, political parties and their policies, programs, the study of international organizations, relationship among Nations, public policy formation and its implementation, etc. In various competitive examinations conducted by KPSC, UPSC, especially in the Civil Service Examinations, a thorough knowledge in Political Science helps to score high rank, because it is a subject, which covers almost all national and international issues.
