Medicine is one of the noble professions of added attraction in the modern world. It offers an opportunity to serve the people. The courses are offered in Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurvedic, Unani, Physiotherapy and naturopathy. The syllabus of the Entrance Examination for admission consists of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the higher secondary level. The Entrance Examination is conducted by different agencies such as State and Central Govt. and different Universities in different States.
Job Avenues
Those who successfully complete the course can practice as Assistant Surgeon/Medical Officer. The demand of this noble profession increases day by day. Employment opportunities exist in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Poly Clinics, Health Centers, Defense, Medical College and research Institutions. There is also scope for self-employment.
Eligibility
The eligibility for admission to the course is:
- Completion of 10+2 pattern of Higher Secondary course (Science) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For SC/ST – 40%
- Those who qualify the common entrance test conducted by the responsible agencies (State/central Govt. And Universities)
