The Central Board of Secondary Education conduct the All India Pre-Medical/Pre Dental Entrance Examination for filling the 15% merit positions for the Medical and Dental College of India.

Pattern of AIPMT

AIPMT Examination consist of two stages (1) Preliminary Examination (2) Final Examination. The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type  questions  which covers the area of PCB. Duration would be 3 hours.Those who pass the preliminary exam qualify for the final Examination. It consists of two paper each of 2 hours duration. Paper I would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper – II would contain questions from Biology. The Final Examination will have non-objective questions.

Language of the Question Papers

Candidates can opt for question paper either in English or in Hindi.

In Kerala there are two centers: TVPM and Cochin.

Eligibility and Qualification

Completed 17 years. Plus two with 50% in physics, chemistry, biology & English

Application is available at all specified branches of Canara Bank. It can also obtained by sending a Bank Draft of Rs.350/0 for General candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidate drawn in  favour of The Secretary, CBSE, New Delhi payable at New Delhi by posts along with a self  addressed envelope of 12” x 10” size. The Bulletin will be send in the self addressed envelope by regd/speed post to the applicant. The request for application should be sent.
